Description

Moxifloxacin  is a 4th generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat ocular infection by inhibiting both DNA gyrase & topoisomerase IV. & Betamethasone is a topical steroid used to treat ocular inflammation by inhibiting the inflammatory mediators.
Indications
Occumox  BM  is indicated to treat ocular infection & inflammation
Dosage
The recommended dosage is one to two drops 4 times a day in the affected eye or as directed by the physician
Contraindications
Occumox BM is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
Precautions
Pregnancy
Occumox BM should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

Nursing Mothers
Systemic absorption of Occumox BM may occur when applied topically. Because of the potential for serious, adverse reactions in nursing infants from Occumox BM, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.

Geriatric Use
No overall difference in safety or effectiveness have been observed between elderly and younger, adult patients.
