Description |
Opticrom Forte is an ophthalmic preparation of the mast cell stabilizer, cromolyn sodium. Symptomatic response to ophthalmic cromolyn therapy (decreased itching, tearing, redness and discharge) is usually seen within a few days; however, longer treatment for up to six weeks may be required. Once symptomatic improvement has been established, cromolyn therapy should be continued for as long as needed to sustain improvement. |

Indications |
Opticrom Forte is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of vernal keratoconjunctivitis, vernal conjunctivitis and vernal keratitis. |

Dosage |
1-2 drops in each eye 2 times day at regular intervals.
The effect of cromolyn sodium ophthalmic solution therapy is dependant upon its administration at regular intervals as directed. Recommended dosage should not be exceeded. |

Contraindiacations |
It is contraindicated in patients with known history of hypersensitivity to the ingredients used in this formulations. |

Warnings & Precautions |
To avoid contamination do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the conditions worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. |

Adverse Effects |
The most frequently reported side effects are transient ocular stinging or burning upon instillation. |
