Description |
Homatropine is a parasympatholytic drug used for mydriasis & cycloplegia. |

Indications |
It is used for dilation of the pupil during examination of Fundus, preoperatively for Cataract operation, inflammatory conditions like uveitis, post op inflammation. |
|
Contraindiacations |
It is contraindicated in patients with known history of hypersensitivity to the ingredients used in this formulations. |
|
Cautions |
Do not use in patients with glaucoma or tendency toward glaucoma or in individuals with hypersensitivity to belladonna alkaloids. Prolonged use may produce local irritation. Excessive use in children or certain individuals may produce symptoms of atropine poisoning. |

Warnings |
If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hrs, discontinue use and consult physician.
If solution changes colour or becomes cloudy, do not use.
To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of the containerto any surface. |
